The Connecticut Certification Board, Inc.

December 19, 2014

As we head into the final weeks of 2014, I want to take this time to thank all of our certified professionals for the work that you do. Your efforts will help many enjoy the joyous holiday season they deserve to have.

This past year has been very successful for the CCB, as we have been able to sit at the table in Washington, D.C. with leadership at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the National Institute on Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse (NIAAA), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) and the President’s Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), as well as contribute to the discussion on increasing availability on Capitol Hill with Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT). Without the exemplary workforce of Connecticut, we could not have had (and continue to have) a voice on the national stage. It is your commitment to following best practices and ethical guidelines that makes this possible. I am honored to represent both in these meetings and with the IC&RC.

I would also like to thank those who took part in our Fall training series where we were able to bring nationally and internationally recognized trainers to Connecticut at no charge to participants. We look forward to bringing more unique trainers in for 2015.

The CCB will remain open during the holiday season with limited hours. We will be closed on Christmas Eve (12/24/14) until Monday, 12/29/14, then again from New Year’s Eve (12/31/14) until Monday, January 5, 2015. On behalf of the staff and Directors of the CCB, have a safe and joyous holiday season!
