CCB Announces 2020 Award Winners
Thursday, February 20, 2020
As has been the case for the last 5 years, the Connecticut Certification Board will present annual awards that honor two professionals who have meant so much to our field. The David Powell Lifetime of Service Award, given to a professional whose career has been especially impactful, will go to Caroline Contreras of Recovery Network of Programs, while the Joseph Sullivan Young Professional Award will go to Daniel Smith of Mountainside. Both honorees were nominated by their peers and selected by the CCB Executive Committee.
Additionally, a second Lifetime of Service Award will be presented to the family of Dorna Stover, longtime Chief Operating Officer of RNP, who passed in late 2016. There is no doubt that Ms. Stover would have been nominated for this award had her life not been cut short, and the CCB wishes to celebrate her impact with members of her family.
The awards will be presented as part of the CCB 40th Anniversary Conference on May 14 at Saint Clements Castle in Portland. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available at www.ccbevents.org. We’ll see you there!
