CCB Launches New eLearning Center
Wallingford, CT – The Connecticut Certification Board (CCB) is pleased to announce the launch of the CCB eLearning Center which opened to the public on February 1, 2012. The new center will offer onsite computer-based testing (CBT) as well as computer-based training, distance learning, practice exams and test prep services. Testing hours will be available by appointment only with evening and Saturday appointments available to accommodate the scheduling needs of test takers.
Since 2011, the CCB has been using on-demand CBT for all exams administered. As the shift towards CBT continues to gain momentum, the need for additional testing centers in Connecticut has been identified and requested by many professionals. The new center will offer several CBT options including the CCB Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist (MATS) exam, the CCB Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) exam as well as all of the IC&RC exams.
In addition to CBT, the new center will offer computer-based training services on several topics including creating and using email, internet navigation, using common computer programs and using social media such as Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter. The CCB is also developing a new Practice Exam Program that will feature practice tests for all CCB and IC&RC exams. Starting in April, interested candidates will be able to take a computer-based practice exams for the IC&RC ADC (Alcohol and Drug Counselor) and CS (Clinical Supervisor) exams and received customized feedback about their performance. At the conclusion of the exam, candidates will receive a detailed score report and the 50 items with correct answers and references for study purposes. The 50 item practice exams will be available for $49.00 each.
