Invitation to the Inaugural CCB Annual Awards Dinner
Tuesday, March 3, 2015
The Connecticut Certification Board is excited to hold our inaugural Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell, Connecticut from 5-8 p.m. Keynote speaker Alison Knopf, Editor of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Weekly as well as frequent contributor to both Counselor and Addiction Professional magazines, will present discuss current trends in the industry with several areas of focus: substances of abuse, treatment protocols and marketing of services in the competitive environment. We are also quite humbled that Barbara Powell will be our special guest and present the 1st Annual Dr. David Powell Award for lifetime achievement in honor of her late husband. Most professionals remember David for all of the contributions to our field, both here and abroad, but many do not realize that he was a resident of the great state of Connecticut. It is with great pride that we can honor both his memory and preserve his legacy here in his home.
Tickets for this event are $50 per person and include appetizers, a plated dinner, dessert and coffee or tea. For those interested, we will also offer 3 CEUs that are applicable towards initial certification or renewal of any CCB credential. There will be discounted prices for the purchase of a table (8 seats) and sponsorship opportunities are available. We hope you will join us. For more information, please contact Jeffrey Quamme, CCB Executive Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please check the CCB website at www.ctcertboard.org for any updates and details as they become available.
