September is National Recovery Month
Tuesday, September 1, 2020
September 1 marks the beginning of National Recovery Month 2020, and the barriers to treatment and recovery related to the COVID-19 pandemic make it vital to get the message out about the importance of prevention, treatment, and recovery supports. This is the time to raise awareness in the general public about the effectiveness of the services we all provide, and also a good time to focus on our own professional development. This month, there are a variety of free training opportunities from SAMHSA and others, providing us all a chance to learn more and expand our knowledge base to be better professionals. The more we know, the better we are at helping those who still struggle. Strengthen your commitment to those you serve with a focus on professional development. The opportunities are there, right in your own office or living room. Those we serve deserve our best.
